Volunteering
Lending a hand for a better communityOur colleagues have told us time and time again that volunteering is a great chance to develop new skills, meet people and have fun. And the range of activities they get involved in is as diverse as the needs of the 70 not-for-profit organisations we work with as part of our commitment to community development.
Volunteering is an integral way for us at Deutsche Bank to reach out to the communities
our people live in, work in and rely on. Our Volunteer Manager puts employees
in touch with projects managed by some of the UK’s most motivated and pioneering
charities, including CSV, which places volunteers in schools to help pupils embrace
learning; and the East London Business Alliance, which helps to bring business
skills and experience to projects in East London.Last year approximately 1,100 employees volunteered in London. To find out how Deutsche Bank’s employee volunteering programme could help your not-for-profit organisation help more people, contact Sarah Wyer. Deutsche Bank Corporate Social Responsibility UK works with a wide range of organisations in London and volunteering is an integral part of Deutsche Bank’s commitment to Community Development. In 2003, Deutsche Bank won a London Corporation Dragon Award for our volunteering in London. The prestigious Dragon Awards annually recognise the effort and impact of businesses who engage in improving the social, economic and physical conditions in some of the most disadvantaged parts of Greater London |
