Initiative Plus and Community Awards
Making volunteers’ efforts go further
We know money isn’t always the answer to how community organisations can best
develop and improve their people’s skills and talents. That’s why we focus on
motivating our people to volunteer, and why we work with some of the UK’s most
forward-thinking charities. But we do know that sometimes money helps. That’s
why we run two programmes – Initiative Plus and Community Awards – to ensure
our volunteers’ efforts make as much of an impact as possible.
Initiative Plus – our global grant programme – enables staff volunteering on
a project related to education, social investments and art to apply for up to
£300 for the project.
Community Awards
Deutsche Bank values the time employees spend supporting their preferred
causes and charities. Community Awards have been devised to recognise commitment
of time by employees to these good causes, 'out of hours'. The Awards are between
£100 and £1,000 each to the benefiting cause. Each year there is
also a 'Community Award of the Year', selected from all the year's Community
Awards. This Award is worth up to £5,000 to the benefiting cause. In 2008
we granted 45 Community Awards.
