Employees
Since a company's success is based on the individuality of its employees, their breadth of experience and personalities, the diversity of cultures and employee's horizons is a key element of Deutsche Bank's human resources work. We want to encourage all those who work for us to live their own individuality and to perceive the diversity of people within the Bank as an asset and advantage. We want to give ethnic groups who have traditionally been under-represented better opportunities within our organisation. With the "I Have a Dream" initiative, the Bank offer students from various ethnic backgrounds learning and development opportunities in the form of internships at the Bank.In light of demographic change, we face the special challenge of maintaining the right balance between the generations in the Bank, sustaining and fostering the motivation and performance of our experienced staff and promoting co-operation between the generations. Our human resources work is therefore increasingly adopting a life-phase oriented perspective. Our aim is to build a corporate culture in which co-operation between the generations, life-long learning and the sharing of know-how for the mutual benefit of all play an integral part. Deutsche Bank recognises and encourages employee volunteering. We run a number of volunteering programmes encouraging employees to spend time in schools, to share business knowledge and experience and to act as mentors to a variety of local community and business projects. Volunteering activities are relevant to performance reviews and can be directly linked to training requirements within the Bank. Time off for volunteering within one of the Bank's community initiatives is taken at the employee's Managers' discretion, normally up to two days per year. |
