Community
Deutsche Bank - one of the largest financial institutions in the City of London - has a responsibility to support the local communities in which it operates. But we also recognise longer-term benefits for the Bank resulting from this commitment. If business is to be sustainable, it needs the backdrop of a stable and secure society. In addition to this, our strategic community programme supports our commitment to staff development, motivation, work-life balance and diversity. Being involved in our community is critical to the way we do business.

Central to all our initiatives is the active engagement of our staff. Deutsche Bank believes in working in partnership and in offering community partners more than just money. Deutsche Bank’s community development programmes focus on enhancing education, developing work skills, promoting active citizenship and supporting entrepreneurs, which together will result in the long-term welfare and prosperity of the communities in which we work.

Deutsche Bank was recognised as having the most effective programme of community investment in the UK. The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is an international non-governmental organisation with over 80 years of experience and a global network spanning five continents. Their annual Awards Ceremony seeks to recognise and reward companies for their community involvement. It was announced at a prestigious awards dinner on the 30th September that the 2004 winner of the "Outstanding Corporate Community Investment Programme" category is Deutsche Bank. In recognition of our diverse programme of activities we have been awarded a £25,000 boost to our community development budget enabling us to have an even more positive effect on the community.
